A Dedication To Mr. James T. Walker

How many lives he changed no one will ever know. But he did change mine. When I first came to Mr.
Walker's printing class in my junior year he noticed a very introverted young man who had little recognition of himself. He took that young man and made him believe.
He gave that young man confidence, brought him out of his foreign introverted state and gave him the tools to proceed in life. He was a father figure that is so important for every child. He made a difference, one that lasts to this very day. What success I achieved in the social world is largely due to Mr Walker's intervention in my life.
And I was not the only student he influenced. There were many others for whom he made a real difference.
He taught us to be color blind.
This I find to be an important ingredient to achieving balance in my life. He knew how to be firm but never angry.
He was a realist. My true personality was formed in a large part to his influence, my confidence in myself a direct product of this caring, sensative man. His memory will never leave us. We shall never forget this wonderful teacher and the positive influence he made in our lives.
